“Up close, no one is normal,” said Franco Basaglia, the psychiatrist whose thinking and commitment led, half a century ago, to the closure of psychiatric asylums.

With the exhibition “Da Vicino”, the artist Andrea Pinchi dedicates to him a cycle of abstract works in which the use of elastic cords, more or less stretched, refers to the functioning of the nervous system. As in a perfectly tuned instrument, the right tension is the basis of the harmony of the psyche.
