In the heart of the city, in front of La Fenice Theater’s artists entrance,

5 minutes by walk from San Marco square, is located La Galleria, Italian headquarter of Galerie Dorothea van der Koelen which celebrated in 2019 her 40° anniversary in Mainz.

Established in Venice in 2001, La Galleria can be added to all the activities guided by Dorothea van der Koelen, internationally renowned art historian: art gallery, publishing house, foundation and consulting based in the CADORO -  Center for Art and Science, inaugurated in 2014.

The gallery presents current trends and international avant-garde with a focus on concrete, conceptual, constructive and minimalist art.

Dorothea van der Koelen works together with 30 artists from 15 different countries; organizes international exhibitions, works with museums and companies all over the world; designs huge works of art in public spaces. Dorothea van der Koelen has curated more than 600 exhibitions in 28 countries, published 180 books and held over 160 conferences.
