On view at Galleria Michela Rizzo, the exhibition Shanghai by Gabriele Basilico tells the story of a city in dizzying transformation through the lens of one of the great masters of contemporary photography.
In 2010, invited to the Expo Better City, Better Life, Basilico expanded his focus to the entire metropolis. Shanghai emerges as a vast urban laboratory, suspended between memory and modernity. From aerial views to architectural details, each image blends compositional precision with poetic insight, reflecting on place identity and the tension between past and future.
